Bone Study

HPSC2236.jpg

For this project, I decided to do a bone study. The bones I drew were a human skull, a piece of a back bone, and an animal skull. I used graphite pencils with different hardnesses to draw and shade. By using these pencils, I was able to get the depth and contrast I wanted. To draw these, I used the bone models which were available in the classroom. For the spine segment and the animal skull, I placed them how I wanted in front of me, and drew them like a still life drawing. For the human skull, I searched a for a photo online and drew from there while also using the class model as a reference.
